Alfares International Supports Hajj 2026 with 200,000+ sqm of Temporary Infrastructure Across Arafat
Every year, Hajj brings together millions of Muslims from around the world in one of the largest annual gatherings of faith. Long before pilgrims arrive in Arafat, an extensive effort takes place behind the scenes to prepare the temporary infrastructure that supports a safe, organized, and comfortable pilgrimage.
For Hajj 2026, Alfares International played a significant role in these preparations by delivering 15% of Arafat’s tented infrastructure, helping create the spaces that welcomed millions of pilgrims during one of the most important events in the Islamic calendar.
Delivering Temporary Infrastructure for Hajj
As one of the leading providers of temporary structural solutions in the Middle East, Alfares International successfully completed more than 200,000 square meters of tented infrastructure across 23 locations in Arafat.
The entire project was delivered within 50 days, demonstrating the company’s ability to execute large-scale temporary infrastructure projects under demanding timelines while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
The completed structures formed part of the essential infrastructure supporting the annual Hajj pilgrimage, providing functional, reliable, and purpose-built spaces for pilgrims.
Manufactured and Built in Saudi Arabia
Supporting local industry was an important part of the project.
The structures were manufactured and built in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, using 70% locally sourced materials, including structural, electrical, mechanical, and numerous other essential project components.
By maximizing local sourcing and manufacturing capabilities, Alfares International contributed to efficient project delivery while supporting Saudi Arabia’s industrial ecosystem and local value creation.

Behind every completed structure was a multidisciplinary team of more than 700 professionals, including project managers, civil engineers, electricians, technicians, logistics specialists, supervisors, and skilled workers.
Working simultaneously across 23 locations, the team coordinated manufacturing, logistics, installation, and quality control to deliver every stage of the project on schedule.
