Al Haj Hussein Fares Eissa Al Baddad Mosque Inaugurated to Serve the Dubai Industrial City Community

A New Community Mosque Serving Dubai Industrial City

The inauguration of Al Haj Hussein Fares Eissa Al Baddad Mosque marks a significant addition to Dubai’s religious and community infrastructure. Located in Dubai Industrial City, the mosque has been developed to serve the growing number of residents, professionals, and visitors in the area while providing a welcoming environment for worship, reflection, and community engagement.

Officially inaugurated by the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) on 18 June 2026, the mosque reflects Dubai’s continued commitment to enhancing quality of life through the development of essential community facilities and houses of worship.

A Meaningful Contribution to the Community

Conceived and developed by philanthropist Mr. Fares Hussein Fares Al Baddad, Founder and Chairman of Alfares International Tents & Construction Metal LLC, the mosque was envisioned as a lasting contribution to the community and a place that would support the spiritual needs of future generations.

Driven by a desire to create a meaningful space for worship, reflection, and connection, the project reflects a commitment to giving back to the community and supporting the continued growth of Dubai Industrial City and its surrounding areas.

Designed to accommodate Dubai’s ongoing urban and population growth, the mosque aligns with the emirate’s vision of creating vibrant communities where faith, culture, and social connection can thrive.

More than a place of worship, the mosque has been developed as a space where people can gather, reflect, and strengthen community bonds.

Inspired by Islamic Heritage

The mosque draws inspiration from Islamic heritage while incorporating contemporary design elements and modern functionality. Developed with careful consideration for both aesthetics and user experience, the design creates a welcoming environment that serves the needs of today’s community while respecting the timeless principles of Islamic architecture.

Its architectural identity is expressed through elegant domes and minarets, intricate Islamic calligraphy, mashrabiya-inspired patterns, and carefully crafted interior details. Among its most striking features are the calligraphic art walls, customized chandeliers, a handcrafted wooden mihrab, Islamic-patterned doors, and bespoke prayer carpets.

A refined selection of marble, wood, and glass further enhances the mosque’s visual character while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for worshippers.

Designed to Serve 4,000 Worshippers

Built on a land area of 78,072.00 sq. ft, the mosque has a total built-up area of 17,612.92 sq. ft and is designed to accommodate up to 4,000 worshippers, including 2,000 worshippers within the mosque’s prayer halls and an additional 2,000 worshippers in the outdoor prayer area during peak congregational gatherings.

The mosque includes:

  • Main Prayer Hall
  • Secondary Prayer Hall
  • Outdoor Prayer Area
  • Dedicated ablution facilities
  • Service block and imam accommodation
  • Accommodation for the imam, muezzin, and assistant
  • Display screens and surveillance systems
  • Central air-conditioning
  • Dedicated facilities for People of Determination
  • Underground pump room and stormwater infrastructure
  • Parking for 66 vehicles

These facilities have been designed to provide a comfortable, accessible, and integrated worship experience for all members of the community.

Built Through Collaboration and Craftsmanship

The successful delivery of the mosque was made possible through the efforts of approximately 120 professionals and workers, whose dedication contributed to bringing the project from vision to reality.

Every aspect of the mosque, from its architectural detailing to its supporting infrastructure, was developed with a focus on quality, functionality, and long-term service to the community.

Supporting Dubai’s Vision for Community Development

According to IACAD, the inauguration of Al Haj Hussein Fares Eissa Al Baddad Mosque reflects the Department’s ongoing role in planning, developing, and managing mosques that meet the highest engineering and operational standards.

The project supports Dubai’s urban expansion while reinforcing the values of tolerance, social solidarity, and community well-being. It also highlights the important role mosques continue to play as centres of religious guidance, community engagement, and social connection.

A Lasting Legacy

The opening of Al Haj Hussein Fares Eissa Al Baddad Mosque represents more than the completion of a construction project. It is a meaningful investment in the community, creating a space that will serve worshippers for generations to come.

As Dubai continues to grow, projects such as this demonstrate how thoughtfully designed religious infrastructure can contribute to stronger communities, improved quality of life, and a deeper sense of belonging for all who call the city home.

Through the vision of Fares Hussein Fares Al Baddad and in alignment with Dubai’s commitment to community development, the mosque now stands as a lasting symbol of service, faith, and community spirit in Dubai Industrial City.
